Lama Temple also named YongHeGong, was built on 1694 by KangXi, the second Emperor of Qing Dynasty, and has given to his fourth son YongZheng as home, before Yongzheng became the 3rd Emperor of Qing Dynasty.
YongZheng, who is a very religious Buddhism, after his death on 1735, his son QianLong has became the next Emperor, and who has rebuilt this building as a temple now we can see on 1744.
Lama Temple became very famous when QianLong ruled whole China, because this building was where he been born, so it’s also know as most luck place of all China at that time. More information at wiki
